House updates

We are loving being in this house!
It is so nice to have a house of our own.
the back yard it coming along nicely! We have found one of the excavators in the area who has fill dirt to get rid of- so he has brought us 36 dump truck loads of fill dirt to level out the drop off in the back. We are still in need of a bit more and i am confident that we will be able to get the entire area filled. The county guy also said that we could fill in the area between our house and the trail..

 
This morning we (Chris and I, and a family down the way) poured concrete...
Yep--- we bought concrete from the people who supply the builders in the area.

Chris did the form and we got gravel from around the area... where houses have finished and there are piles around. We filled the gravel in the wagon and then hauled it home.

The cement truck came this morning a little before 8:00. The driver was super nice and had lots of helpful hints for us first-timers.
We skreed out the cement and the made the brush marks and edged it. It sounds so much easier to type it out... it was really a ton of work!

It will be so nice to be able to put a table and chairs out side and be able to sit and enjoy the backyard!
