recoup and shop

Today i wanted to recoup from the tons of walking yesterday.
well--- the best laid plans often go by the wayside...
i did sleep in until 9 this morning- that was nice. then we all walked to the grocery store to stock up on supplies for the week. Mostly we get juice, milk, fruit and veggies and some meat so we can cook dinner at home at least 2-3 times a week. we ended up spending about 75 dollars (American) . we have chicken and sausage for dinner and pasta.... anyway- i digress.
then we came home and had bread with olive oil and balsamic for lunch.
then we went to the outdoor market at San Lorenzo, again to take Ais shopping, which maybe a habit she is developing into an art!
We shopped until 7 pm, when the stalls closed. Then the daily gelato hunt began-- First we went to one called Vestri (which is really a chocolate shop that also sells gelato) but they were closed, so on to the next, a place that someone had blogged about called Vivoli. It was really good. After dessert we went in search of dinner- a little hole in the wall- literally! the entrance was about the size of a hotdog cart in New York. You stand on the street and order, you can eat in the street or take it home. it took us about 5 streets until we found it by sheet luck. we got some to go and then took it home, we eat and i thin my feet will fall off tonight! I hope they grow back by the morning as we have lots planned for tomorrow...
NO photos today so I will add some from days past- because i know you really are looking for photos.
Sienna- what a country side
what a cutie!

I love the poppies-- they grow as a weed
Today's flavors:
Chris- 1- peach with fresh ginger and mint
           2- kiwi
Janelle- 1-peach with fresh ginger and mint
             2- pear
Ais- 1- peach with fresh ginger and mint
        2- hazelnut

the only down side to these super yummy treats is that this is really sorbet NOT gelato--- guess i will need 2 tomorrow ;-)
