busy weekend

this weekend seemed to fly by--- there were so many projects and things to get done that it was almost a little overwhelming.
Chris got the kids late on Friday night... Lach is working at the grocery store and had to work that evening.
Saturday morning we got up early(ish). Chris and I worked on digging post holes to repair a part of the fence that was taken down years ago by one of the neighbors (who has since moved).
We took a break at about 8 am and got ready for family photos. A woman in our ward came over and spent about an hour taking photos of each of us and in groups. We used the back yard and some old rusty trucks in the neighbors yard as backdrops... I am super excited to see how they turn out. I have been wanting to get a family photo for a couple of years.
Then it was back to digging post holes. Chris rented an auger and that help! There is no way we could have dug 3 foot deep holes in the river-bed like conditions of the backyard without the auger.
Then in the afternoon we packed grandma and she moved to the Beehive house, an assisted living center here in town. It is only about 5 minutes from the house. we moved her bed, dresser, nightstands and chair over and her clothing and a few things for here from her bedroom here at the house.
Thus ended out Saturday.... very pooped!
This morning Chris and I got up and visited grandma to see how her night went. It was good. She has run into a couple of people that she knows- who are also residents.
After church this evening I went over. I brought her a few more things and chatted with her for about an hour and a half. She is in good spirits.
She has her own room with a private bath that is on its own thermostat regulation. It is HOT in her room and she is snug as a bug!
And that was out weekend--- I almost wish I could have another weekend to recover before going back to work in the morning ;-)
