While I was in SLC this last time I popped into one of my favorite stores- The Basket Loft. It is in the Foothill Village shopping center. I love to browse and see what is new, they are always full of cute little dust collectors and knickknacks.
While there this little (not so little) guy caught my attention and I thought to myself,
"I have got to bring that home to mom". I will not be home for the holiday and I wanted her to have a little something to know I was thinking of her.
So I bought it. The store beautifully gift wrapped it for me .
When I got home mom picked me up at the bus stop and we ran a couple of errands.
Finally home I gave her the box. She opened it and remarked about all the personality he had.
When dad got home from work mom showed him and dad asked what his name was.
Mom thought for a moment and then with a quizzical and mischievous smile said-
Albert of course!
I was a little confused and Dad looked a little more confused so she clarified.
"Remember the show the kids used to watch"---she said
'Wo Wo Wo... It's Fat Albert'. ( I didn't have the heart to correct her)
She chuckled to herself and I could not help but laugh with her.
She still (several days later) will chuckle to herself "wo wo wo... it's fat Albert"
SO... without further ado-
may I present---Fat Albert.
