Low and behold a new month is upon us...
2 weekends ago Ais and I made apple-butter....
for the first time!
I do not think I have ever tasted it (and really would rather not try it)
but I have heard of it and we have a tree in the back 40 that produced little apples.
So Ais and I went out back and picked apples, pruned the tree. We peeled and cored the apples and made apple-butter in the crock pot. It took a LONG time but the crock pot did most of the work.
Chris said it was tasty and grandma likes it on toast with a little butter and then apple-butter.
I like cooking and and feeling like I am using things well.
