this morning we met my friend and her friends at the Hong Kong LDS temple.
it was so nice.
we did a session and Donna's daughter did baptisms.
then we went to the distribution center and Chris bought a BoM in both English and Mandarin (side by side).
we then parted ways and Donna and the others went their separate way.
We went to a Taoist temple... (forgive the photo quality--- it was raining hard in the morning on and off and we didn't bring the camera- these are from Chris' iPod)
part of this religion is that have people come to the temple and kneel with a bamboo shaker. The person has a question or desire and shakes the bamboo until one of 100 sticks is shaken out. the stick has a number on it and the person takes that number to the fortune teller. The fortune teller will answer the question with a story- according to the number and then interpret the meaning of the story for the person.
