Dinner and the opera

Hen and I are sharing season tickets to the Symphony and Opera.
Tonight was Carmen!- Because they had seen it fairly recently Hen and Dave let Chris and I have tickets to this show.

It was amazing. The music- wow- I was dancing in my seat. ( as was the lady in front of me). The costumes were superb. The talent was wonderful. Carmen was great, Micheala was amazing and Escamillo was marvelous.

It may have been a little long for Chris but being the adoring and wonderful man he is when I asked how he thought he said " I can appreciate all the work and the talent".

Before the show we went to Martine's!! ( this is the place we went the night he proposed). It is a Tapas restaurant and so we tried several things.

We had a salad with three kinds of wheat- pretty good

Butternut Squash and pear soup- DIVINE!!!!!

pheasant- so good

Moroccan braised beef- spices like cinnamon and cardamom with a little kick at the end

white asparagus wrapped in prosciutto

and ...

grilled gingerbread

all and all it was a perfect night with a perfect date.

I am the luckiest girl in the world.

I must agree, it sounds like a perfect date with a perfect husband. Your purple pedicure would match your room at home.....want to come visit while the does are still purple????
