IN honor of San's birthday I am posting our Mustard Glaze recipe.
(we are having it for dinner tonight).
Mustard Glaze
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup spicy brown mustard
5 Tbsp cider vinegar
1 Tbsp ground mustard
1 Tbsp molasses
Mix all together in a sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 2-3 minutes to reduce.
I use it as a marinade or as a glaze while cooking.
This will cover 1.5-2 pounds of meat. ( I like chicken or pork)
I have used it in the oven as a glaze or in the crock pot (3-4 hours on high, 6-8 hours on low)
I also like to make a second recipe of the glaze just before we eat to serve on the table.
Enjoy----
Happy Birthday San!!
